I was thinking of some of the rascally moments with my son Seth who is still rascally at 27! I remember one afternoon as a young Mom I had asked him to go to his room. He just stood there looking at me. In an attempt to motivate him I started to count, "One, two..." He squarely looked right back at me and said, "three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten!" Immediately his mouth dropped open as we both stood in shock! He ran to his room faster than I had ever seen him and I was so glad because I didn't want him to see me laughing at his shocked face.
Counting to a child is a bad idea ~ I sure learned MY lesson that day!

1 ) I am SO happy to have this entry as a first on this page! It is priceless and shared by my friend Christine from my hometown in California.
Brad's Grandma asked Brad (then about 2 years old), "What would you like to call me, Nana Susan?" Brad looks at his grandma and replies, "Only if you call me Apple Brad."
Thanks Christine!
